A Plea for Fort Valley's Homeless During Frigid Temperatures

To: Mayor & Council of the City of Fort Valley & Area Pastors
Date: January 29, 2022 

Please open a building for the homeless to shelter during these FRIGID temperatures that can kill. 

We do have homeless individuals and families amongst us. And they are struggling to pay high daily hotel rates. 
I am running a small 2bdr transitional home off of a fixed income. I can do but so much.

You have the funds. And you have the buildings. Please Please Please get GOD's children out of the cold. 

GOD is watching what you are or are not doing for the "Least of these" while you pray COVID-19 off of your loved ones, off of your friends or colleagues. 

The grace you seed to a child of GOD, will be repaid to you in many ways.
PLEASE DO NOT TURN A BLIND EYE! Provide emergency shelter now! Don't wait for the news of 1 or more homeless dead in Fort Valley due to freezing temperatures.

A Community must come together as "1-Voice" and let the City of Fort Valley Government (Mayor & Council) know that we care and we care enough to put time, skills, and talent to get it done.
